Starting you International Nurse Career
Below is a checklist of the major requirements needed to join the AHT, Ltd. (Allied Healthcare Temps) team:
- An up-to-date resume
Getting started is easy! Simply email you resume to info@ahtemps.com our International Recruitment team will determine if you meet the
qualifications to work as a nurse in the United States. Once they review your resume they will contact you and explain the program in
further detail, as well as go over the next steps in the process.
- Completed examinations
To be eligible for your Permanent Residency Visa (Green Card) and ultimately work in America, you must pass the NCLEX-RN (National
Council Licensure EX amination- Registered Nurse) exam. The NCLEX is a computer-adaptive test of entry-level nursing competence.
Passing the exam is required of candidates for licensure as an RN by all U.S. state and territorial Boards of Nursing. You may,
however, begin the visa sponsorship process if you have passed your CGFNS (The commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools)
exam, but will also need to have passed either the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or IELTS (International English
Language Testing System) exams to demonstrate your ability to communicate in English.
- Immigration documentation
Upon your acceptance into the program, AHT, Ltd. (Allied Healthcare Temps) Will arrange nurse sponsorship for your Permanent Residency Visa (Green Card). A green
card will allow you, as well as your spouse and any children under the age of 21, to legally live and work in the United States. As a
healthcare professional, you will also need a VisaScreen Certificate which demonstrates that you meet the U.S. governments
eligibility standards for foreign healthcare professionals.
- State License (in which to practice)

Once you have completed all of the above, you will be eligible to begin your assignment in America! AHT, Ltd. (Allied Healthcare Temps) Has access to one of the

guide you through American customs, job etiquette and any other questions you may have. Furthermore, this team will be available to
assist you throughout the duration of your time in the U.S.
